man just cut some 2x4s and roll it out. that's what I did when I had to move a car w/o suspension avialable.

cut the 2x4 with a notch in one end so that is 'saddles' LCA, and make the length approximately the height of the strut/spring.

I did that to get it to the shop! no subframe either just a bare chassis... took 6 guys to lift it!

went back to the shop today and threw some 2x4's in the rear, all I need is the front shocks & spring combo.

buy some 2x10's about 10 ft long and a couple come-alongs. pull the bumper covers off the car and put a trolley jack under each end. get a couple buddies to help stabilize the car and position the car to line up with the trailer. use the 2x10s as skids and the come-alongs to pull the car up on the trailer. It will be a workout for the come-along operator and you'll have to be careful not to rip the brake/fuel lines off the bottom.

once the front of the car lifts off the jack pull it out of the way, and let the rear one hold up the back for as long as possible.'

to the OP: do you have the strut mount forks? if you do, just cut a 2x4 with a 'wedge' on one end to force it down into the fork and the other up into the strut tower...the weight of the shell will cram it into the fork pretty tight, plus you just want it to hold it up long enough to get it loaded and unloaded a few times anyway.

or, lay a short piece of 2x4 across the upper control arm (parallel to the centerline of the mounts) and lower the body down onto it. again, you don't need much, it's just a shell. i did this on a full body/interior/motor car.

Just remember to be careful and keep your feet/hands/head/etc out from under it as much as possible.

thanks man. i think it will work fine to just pull it on with the come alongs. the car is light enough to lift one end about 2 feet off the ground so maybe just lift the front up and back the trailer under it and use the come alongs to pull and lift the back up to make it easier. idk ill figure something out when the trailer get here. thanks for all the advice.
