Default Full Race Stage 1 GT kit INSTALL PROBLEMS

Hey guys/girls
My mechanic is currently installing my Full Race Stage 1 GT (non AC) turbo kit on my EG sedan with b18c SiR motor.
They have run into a few problems early on,
with the manifold & turbo mounted, the intercooler doesnt quite sit in the centre of the car, and the intercooler they gave me has the tabs at the top and they dont line up with any of the bumper support after you have to cut alot of it out.
and if we did just mount it a little off centre, the rest of the IC piping doesnt line up either :S maybe they gave me the wrong cooler? and/or piping? im not sure...
also he says the water/coolant fittings arent all there :S
any help greatly appreciated

Is this the first time your mechanic has performed this install????

The only problem that may exist is grinding a little section of the turbo manifold flange on GSR motor(clearance issues)...not ls-v conversions though...

I'm sure Full-race tech support would help!!

i dont think the back door intercooler lines up perfectly center. im sure you have to shift it to the side a bit.

in the end, im sure it will all work out well.

There are quite a few differences even on the same car models.....the EDM itr has a thin bumper support bar (compared to the thick one in USDM itr´s) and so i had to adjust my intercooler mounts to make it fit and no, it doesnt stay centered.

Other than that, everything went just perfect.

Its not going to be centered just like RedR mentioned....that's why that 6in long hump hose is there...I'll post up some pics of a recent project car with the EG full-race kit later...it will give you a better idea...

the reason its not centered is because its a backdoor.....

thanks alot for that guys! really appreciated! my intercooler isnt that big tho. they managed to make it fit ok. they have to send it away to have a bracket welded on the bottom of the cooler tho as they dont do aluminum welding and because so much of the bumper support was removed, its not 100% firm.
he said they will have to modify the IC piping tho as the big pipe (from the IM) will be touching the radiator overflow bottle.
so theyve still had to customise alot of the kit in one way or another and no cooling hoses or connectors were included so i gotta go buy them 2morrow
