timing question?

im in the process of doing a multiport swap on a b2.. i have the bottom end set at TDC... i know exactly how the head is suppose to be set but i cant get the camgear to turn.. the only d series iv really worked on was a dohc zc.. soo im wondering if there are any tricks or something im not doing right.. any info would be appreciated.

make sure da crank is at top dead center
14mm on the cam bolt (counter clockwise)
or a chainwrench if u can get it to fit.. i got 1 of those rubber 1's from local parts store. they sux for most things but work well for this.

oh yeah my bad.. i hate when it spins loose.. well that retarded rubber chain wrench i mentioned comes in handy at this point.. sometimes u can hit it w/ da impact and get it to hold but be very careful not to snap it.
oh yeah u know what else sometimes works is using da timing belt as a tool to help turn it
