Greetings-

Have a 97 SE with 4 speed auto trans- Feeling a fairly strong driveline vibration when reaching the 3 to 4 shiftpoint.

Has anyone experienced the same problem, and what was the eventual fix?

I know all the temp fix tricks.

If it's a rather rythmic pulsing starting about 1900 rpm and lasting thru 2200 rpm under light throttle applications, you may be running afoul of the EGR passages carbon build-up thingie. It may (or may not) throw a code P1491 if your CEL comes on.

Are there any consitant times under which you notice this? Is it speed sensitive? Rpm sensitive? etc.
