87 CRX SI swap to 16A3 with GSR tranny and P72 Help please!!!!
Okay so a friend and myself who have some knowledge are doing a B16A3 swap from a del sol with A GSR hydro tranny into a 87 CRX SI. We have the engine harness for the B16A3 and hasport mounts, shift linkage and all that jazz. Now what we need help is. How do we get the engine harness to connect to the crx interior harness and then to the OBD1 ecu. I know there is a OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness. What about the engine harness? Thanks. all the help is greatly appreciated.
have to mod your stock engine harness that come out of the crx
most likely you just have to add a few wires and run them to the ecu (vtec, vtec pressure, o2 sensor, knock sensor)

Thanks. Yeah I knew I had to modify the stock harness. Hasport said they could make a harness if I gave them the B16A3 harness and the CRXsi Chassis harness for 300. Im just looking for alternatives.
No worries. Thanks alot. Anyone know if I were to run a OBD0 B16A instead of the OBD1 B16a3 would it be easier?

Really? I was thinking its the fact that the 87 CRXsi is 0BD0 from the start. So if i were to run a OBD0 motor and ECU instead of OBD1 logically I think it would sound like it would make sense that it would make the swap more simple? No?
Yeah I know that stuff. Im just looking to see what is simple to go in, like I said. Not tuning, but what will work easily with the least amount of hassle. The car is OBD0 and converting it to OBD1 is going to take more than just a jumper harness to make it work.
