Premium Gas?
I searched and didn't see anything and i see people saying run premium gas, but does it make a difference, hurt the engine or anything? Just wondering about it, because gas is expensive, just tell me though what you use i guess and if you think it matters or not.
Gas is not expensive right now.... Infact, gas is cheaper than it has been in a long while. You also didn't tell us what year or engine your Prelude has and I cant be expected to look in your cardomain links, but assuming you have the H22A, you should run Premium because of the high static compression and the high performance valve and cam timing which increases your dynamic compression to levels where it would need Premium in order to run at top efficiency. You could get away with running regular, but your knock sensor will notice this and retard ignition timing and other specifications within the ECU which would cause you to lose power and fuel economy. I think you should just stick with Premium and if you need to save money so much maybe you can find other options to save more money than the minuscule amount that your gas saving techniques would allow you.
