Default transmission block needle

i jus got finished putting in another z6. if some of you guys that helped me out so much member my last z6 was jus full of problems. so i decided cut my losses, get another and be done with it. so i pulled my transmission off my old z6 put it on the new one, now i try to put the axels in and they won't go in all the way (driver side at least) i only had time to do the driver side b4 it got dark. i looked in the hole and there's like a 1/2 inch round peice of metal (needle) blocking. is that normal, and then why won't my axels go in. it seems that is wat is blocking them from going in. any help wud be great. thanks

i dont quite undestand what your saying. The axles however just slide in there and thats it mainly. Make sure its going straight in and not a angle, and you might have to give it a good push, but other than that, thats about it for it.

for example if you change cv axels on a vehicle u go one side at a time. because if u do both sides at the same time. u run the risk of dropping the lockout pin. basically a thick pin that blocks passage from both axels. so that another example wen i t try to slide in either axel the majority goes in, but there is a portion that cannot go the rest of the way due to this pin. well mines dropped, and now i have no idea as to how i can get it back in place so that i can slide both my axels in where they are supposed to be and functional. thas wat i meant. sorry if it's kinda messed up, but i had no other way of expalining it at the moment.

HELP!!!!!!!!please

When I did my B16 swap it came with both axles removed. They slid right in most the way, then I (lightly) tapped them in with a mallet. I've got at least a few thousand miles on the swap and it's been fine.
