Default question with 04 accord v6 6spd electrical problem?

Hope someone will help me out... I don't if you guys experience this w/your accord

'04 accord v6 6sp coupe

Just recently the remote to my car stopped working. When i press down on the unlock/lock/ or trunk icon, the red light blinks but it would not unlock or lock my car.

Also, the automatic door does not work when i take my keys out. So now, i have to open my car with the key in it, then reach over to the passenger side to unlock the door. Such a hassle, i haven't made it to the dealership to check it out yet.

Just want to see what you guys think.
Thanks

If you manually lock the drivers door will the remote work? A few things can cause this.
#1 a weak remote battery (most likely considering age)
#2 a failed drivers door lock actuator (second more likely) The power locks will not work right if the drivers actuator has failed.
#3 a bad drivers door switch (equally as likely) (push the black button, if there is no resistance you can pop it out and snap it back together)
#4 a failed drivers multiplex unit (least likely) this unit controls all of the systems you are having issues with.

do yourself a favor and at least check the door switch 1st if nothing else. it's a free fix if that's the case.
