Default 96 ex with h23 blows ELD fuse

Heres the story, i bought a freshly swapped 1996 Honda Civic with OBD0 H23. He sold me the car thinking the transmission blew again. The passenger side axle kept coming out so when i went to pick it up i popped the axle in and drove off with it. Anyway, the speedometer never worked on the car for the longest time. and it was driving fine. cel would throw for EGR because OBD0 with OBDIIa engne harness and OBDII - OBDI conversion harness and P75 ecu. Well i hardwired the VSS to the cluster and it started blowing underdash fuse #15 the 7.5a and so i inspected the 3 pin plug on the VSS and it was corroded and i cut it off and took one from another harness. I also installed a smaller VSS from my 93 4 door, easier to install and remove and i know it worked. I also spliced the wires back into the original harness and the speedometer worked again.

I then proceeded to replaced the ELD in the underhood fuse box an took an altenator from a '96 F23 accord. Installed another known good battery. and removed all unnessary aftermarket Oil pressure gauge and wideband a/f gauge. and checked the cluster harness. Car idled fine. no CEL no blown fuse. the battery light was on. Continued to idle the car and then test drove. No cel, Speedo worked, and around 4500 rpm the CEL came on and car idled shitty. The #15 fuse blew again.

So my question is, what do i do next, pull the harness and install another one because there is probably a short where the harness rubbed the intake to block bracket. I'm pretty lost.

P.s. sorry for the cluster of thought a f ou dont understand ask qestions thanks

yikes loads of problems there. it could be many things bro lol. short in one/some of the wires, could also be cuz its an obd2 car with an obd0 motor lol not soo easy to do that swap. my suggestion is yank the motor out go to a junk yard and get a single cam swap and put it in and if your looking for more power boost it. sorry i no that isnt really what you are looking for thats just my .02 for what i would do.

well its already had 2 y8s put in it from the previous owner, and the 4 door is getting a new single cam and the hatchback is getting the 4 door's old single slam. This h23 runs fine just when the fuse blows the speedo quits working and battery quits charging. if this car is going to get a single cam its gonna be f22 lol
