jacking up car, wheel wont lift off ground!!! HELP PLEEEAASSEE!!
As stated above. My car a 94 prelude vtec is slammed and makes a **** noise on one side whenever i put load on. in every gear. Also makes same sound when hitting bumps on the same front pass side.
While jacking the car to inspect, the wheel wont lift. the frame lifts and makes like 2 feet wheel gap, but the tire stays on the ground, and i cant lift it either, so something is pushing it down. Strut??
Anyways, please help.
Thanks!!!

The jack you're using isn't lifting the car off the ground enough. There's no mysterious force "pushing" the shock down such that it's forcing the wheel to maintain contact with the ground. Try putting something like a piece of 2x4 between the jack and the body to raise the car higher.
if you cant figure out how to lift the vehicle off the ground then you have no business working on it...take it to a pro before somone gets hurt

sounds like your shock is broken or pulled out of the top mount. the spring is pushing the wheel down unchecked by the length of the shock. but also as stated ^^^^ you might need to take it somewhere.

Edit: is 2 FEET of wheel gap accurate? There isn't that much play in the suspension arms. If that's happening, you have a very serious problem.

maybe u shouldent lower ur car to the floor. if u have 2 feet of wheel gap then somethings broken and ur lower arm is going alll the way down or its only held by the top arm.. get a big jack and jack that **** up and c what happend. if u cant figure that out then tow ur car to a shop. if u have 2 feet of wheel gap then somethings prolly somethings broken ! !
