I just did timing belt, water pump, tensioners, and balancer belt on a f22b2. However, I am noticing some increase vibrations between 1-3k RPM, and right before redline. I am taking it to a shop this Monday to have them fix it because I've done it twice now with no luck. Is it okay to drive the car with the balancer belt like that for ~15-20 miles?

 

You will not hurt the engine driving it with the counterbalance shafts out of synch.

 

For the milage you anticipate driving to the shop, you will cause no furthur damage. Any furthur and you might start seeing things vibrating off, but enough of that thought

Runs a lot better now! There is a slight whine after a while of driving though in the lower RPM's. Thoughts?

 

does the whine increase with engine rpm?

usually a while from the timing belt area is an indication of an over-tightened timing belt.

 

I'd say no, the whine doesn't increase with the RPM..
