What's the function of a subframe on a car? How much would it take to tear this on a 95 ex coupe?
I have a 22mm swaybar and my car is dropped about 2.75 inches. When would i look into changing parts to strengthen this? I rarely autocross.

Their subframe kit.

THe LCA's connect to it. The lower strut bar (rear tie bar) attach to it.
U shaped thing in the middle. Search would give you pictures I promise.

O.k. i have a progress rear 22mm sway bar that has been welded on. I should be fine right? How would i know that the subframe has teared? Would i be in deep **** if this ocurred?
I would assume the lca's but i would have to take a peak...the thing shakes like a **** though. Chances of this occuring would increase if i was taking hard turns on a track or the street at high speeds right? If i was to drag only (aside from highway driving) i wouldnt run into to0 many problems right?
Do you have a digital? Pictures of this would be very helpful.
Theoretically if it is welded on properly it should do more than fine racing but, it depends on the weld quality.

o.k. i looked under the rear of the car...the bar itself is welded onto the subframe...it look substantially done.
The bar is usless have it removed.
If it cannot pivot or swival with the brakets on the subfram then it doesn't help and actually harms performance.

This is the setup on my 95 EX:
GSR lca's
22mm ITR sway
Beaks SRK
In the pics you can see where the beaks kit reinforces the subframes.
Whatever your friend did. Have him undo it...

you guys are right..i looked again and its not welded to the subframe its welded to the lower bolt in this picture...(the bottom part of the bushingbolt in this picture..it hangs down a lot too...i dont like how it wraps around either. I will purchase the beaks 22mm itr sway bar and reinforcement kit with my insurance money asap. THanks guys i appreciate it a lot. 175 is a great price too. If you want to see what i am talking about further than someone post a pic of their progress rear sway bar. I believe the mounting hardware sucks *****! Do you guys reccomend their lower tie bar upgrade kit too? Now their website shows the subframe reinforcement kit too....what is this for? Do i want this? They say its for the DC and EG chassis's i have an ej so im assuming the eg would be me?? Thanks guys
