Default "Popping" when I turn into park...

Is this being caused by CV joints going out?

What should I look for to make sure of what the problem is?

I only hear it when I'm pulling in to turn into a parking spot, or into my driveway and such. I don't necessarily hear it when just turning while driving. Any thoughts or input? Thanks.

I've never had to change them on any car, so this issue is new to me.

I would guess yes. Most call it a clicking noise.

Most likely it is. when you are stopped turn your steering wheel all the way and start to drive. you will here it. one of the boots may be torn or there probably isnt any packing in it. If its not too bad a lot of people will just buy a boot kit for it, but i think the joints are already contaminated so just replace the axle.

Most likely. Get under the car (a lift would be ideal) and grab the axle shaft near the inner CV boot and check for up and down, left and right play. There should be none or next to none. If it makes noise or is really loose while you are doing this - that's too much play = bad joint.

For the outer joint (check for shaft play too like above ^^^) get the front of the car up, cut the wheel all the way to one side and rotate the wheel. If the outer joint is bad you should feel it bind or hitch as you rotate the wheel, it may even click.

That's how I do it, there may be a better way.
