Default vortec supercharger

my 95 gsr integra worked fine when i installed my supercharger.it was producing 9psi at max with stock everything.now the way to getting more air to any engine is to increase the air flow. (correct me if am wrong.)in my case the variables in my situation would be the charger, the intake manifold, the throttle body and the head.my question is if i increased the amount of air passing through the throttle body to the manifold and into the head by means of increasing the size of both the throttle body and the manifold and porting out the head would doing that give me the same result (hp power wise) as if i had just up the boost on the charger by say 1 or 2 psi?

am curious to know because i would like to know what effect this could have on my stock bottom end motor thats only able to take 9psi max...
