ok so here is my issue the other night while driving home normal night car started up fine everything was running good except the issue of when im driving my car it seems to sputter when i get around 1.5 to 2k and it will stop accelerating untill i push the gas down a little bit and then it will jerk my car sometimes. well im driving home and its doing the more often that it has any time ever usually it will do it when the car is first started for a minute but after that its fine, and half way home on the interstate its starts to bog down really really bad to where if i get anywhere near 70 the front end shakes really bad. i pull off get to a gas station check the engine and everything make sure everything is connected correctly then go to start it back up its doing the same thing and this time its running really really rough, i eventually get it home and go to sleep on it. today i get up my friend comes over we check everything out there is to check really distributer, o2 sensor, egr has always been unplugged before it did this, and iacv seems to be fine. the conclusion we came up with is that it is a possibility that it could be my harness because it is kinda ghetto if you could call it that. the reason being that is because i can mess with the wires around the ecu and it use to sometimes solve the problem when it first started happening a while back. can someone give me some info as to what else could possibly be causeing this?

 

Sounds like its your fuel system

 

Could also be a miss fire.

But I guess it could be lots of things. when was the last time you did cap, rotor, plugs, wires.

 

my distrib is new but i cleaned out the tps last night hooked it back up only to find it still ran rough so i unplugged my harness from the ecu and today i re wired some of the wires that were kinda chopped up and so far its ran ok hasnt been doing the jerking anymore but i do need to change my spark plugs and i also would like to get some more spark plug wires as well. thanks alot for the help tho guys if i have any other issues with it ill post up something else, but i should be getting a h23 harness from my friend sometime soon and im gonna get a friend to wire up vtec on it for me and put that one in my car.
