EP3 Recaro seat questions
I bought a set of red 02-05 Civic Type R EP3 Recaros (Recaro Sport) to install in my 1995 Civic EJ1 coupe.
1) I am planning to use the accompanying JDM EP3 rails and modify them to fit in the EJ/EG chassis. But just out of curiosity, are there prefabbed rails out there that will bolt to both the EG/EJ chassis and the EP3 Recaros? Remember that the bottom mounting patterns between the EP3 Recaros (Recaro Sport) and DC2 Recaros (Recaro Speed) are way different.
2) The EP3 rails have OEM Honda black cover garnishes that are seen on the outside along the sides. The garnishes I have look beat up and have some broken mounting tabs so I want to replace them. The Honda part numbers molded in are:
81269-S5T-J410 - Right Side
81669-S5T-J410 - Left Side
I have looked these part numbers up and cannot find them. Since these are JDM seats and the part numbers are probably Honda of Japan part numbers, how do I get replacements? How do I order items with Honda of Japan part numbers?

Are you sure about the mounting problem? I put DC5 Recaros into my 92 hatch using the OEM DC2R Recaro rails. 6 mounting holes on the bottom of the seat.
Call up Memory Fab.

I will post some pics of the differences ASAP.
I currently have black DC2R seats (Recaro Speed design). Now that I have the red EP3R seats (Recaro Sport design), the mounting holes are way different. So all Recaros do not mount the same way.
The rails I am using for my DC2R seats are Vision low position rails. They worked great for the DC2R's.
With the EP3R's, the holes do not line up. Also the part of the rail that the seat belt latch bolts to causes the rail to not center up.
The DC2R's have a flat bottom from underneath. The EP3R's have a curved bulging bottom. If my low position rails would have bolted up to the seats, the seats may not have been able to get bolted to the chassis. Don't really know about that yet.
