Default New clutch.. Should the arm have this much Play?!?!

I just put the tranny on and the arm has quite a bit of play...

no pressure on arm

using my hand to lift the arm untill it stops

is that enough room for the clutch to disengsge properly?

as you can see.. my tranny isn't bolted on ALL the way but the gap left is tiny.. so I don't think this will make a huge difference..

any help is appreciated!!!!

(losing motivation )

yes it is.. my problem the first time I did it . was that I put the fork that pushes the TO bearing BEHIND the spring on each side.. if you could imagine that.. so it was pushing it an extra 1/4 inch out or so.. now its fixed tho and everything is connected properly..

thanks for the responce

seal it up it will be fine. I had the same worry a long time ago when I first worked on these and it ended up being fine. that gap is enough to oush it further down.

It don't make sense to me, that is too much of a play. So go in there and check? Did you put on the flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, all the stuff that suppose to be back on?

Is your fork bolted on the lever? If it wasn't then when you pull the lever up, the fork not going anywhere.

I will take it apart for sure.. but I cant think of a single thing that could be wrong.. its a standard replacement exedy clutch..

people can throw on stage III kits all day but when I go with the standard replacement (least hastle so I thought) I get the shaft..

Like I mentioned .. this is the second time I have had to take the clutch apart and I havent even driven it yet!

any other ideas! please!!

Thanks for the responces by the way.. I appreciate the help

my act 6 puck is the same way. i took mine apart 3 times until i came to the realization that the design is screwed, tightened this much puts the clutch cable at a weird angle..

good luck.

i tightened the **** outta it and it still just barely disengages, hard as [***] to push in.
