Default Bolt on Radiator Support?

I crashed my car a while back and decided since it was wrecked i may as well do a 99-00 f.e.c. But i cut of my old twisted radiator support and was wondering if i could bolt my new one on incase i crash again or if i need to do an engine swap that it would make it that much easier to pull the motor.

let me know what you think

It would make me a a little nervous, but there's a DIY on an Integra JDM front end conversion where he bolts it on.

not 100% applicable but every vw from 1985 - current has had removable rad supports/bumper rebars, it shouldnt be too hard to adapt a bolt on style support with some creativity

I would not worry about removable rad. support. Especially if you plan on running some "traction bars" or some kind of cross member in the front to connect both "frame rails" (not sure if that's the proper term?). I am making a removable one that's just held with pins out of 1/2" tube. Similar to this one, posted by another HT member:

Nice looking shock setup there.

I used a 3/4" flat bar from head light bucket to head light bucket.

plenty of cars have bolt on rad supports. I dont see it being an issue at all.

Just figure a way to bolt it on. It will be fine IMO. I have replaced one on my EG when i had it. It is very thin metal and and doesnt really seem to add much stiffness between the rails. It does just that radiator support.
