Default FV-QR

It should be on the back of the remote on a sticker.

Yes, I'm looking at one now. You'll see the directions for using the remote and under that is the "FCC ID".

prolly not gonna find it. take it to a electronic shop and see what they can do, you might just need to get a brand new one. imo.

If you have the factory radio, take your VIN to a Honda dealer...they should be able to get you the right remote.

Get one like this one. It has a lock, unlock, option and panic button.

The '96-'98 ones will have the "Option" button. The '99-'00 do not.

The remote I have here says FCC ID: A269ZUA101

But I'm not so sure that all '96-'98 Civics use the same FCC ID number. I vaguely remember reading that there might be different ones. Not sure. I'll have to check around later on. I'm about to walk out for work though.
