It's not getting any power, so as of now, it's not because of a bad starter.

Check the starter ground and check the positive cable from the battery to fuse box. It's a pretty simple circuit.

Is the battery dead? Do you have any power?

my money is on the battery.. The battery can show 13 volts, but not have enough amps to turn the starter motor. Since it is getting colder outside, this problem also becomes more pronounced..

Most auto places have ammeters or a device to test the state of the battery, in terms of its amperage output, so i strongly suggest you try that before anything else.

How did you test for power? +lead on the starter main terminal, -lead to the battery? That wire should always have battery voltage with or without the key on.

Check your ground to the engine. The starter completes its circuit through the case of the starter to the trans housing and back to the battery via ground strap to chassis-battery -.

If you do in fact test no voltage at the starter then you have a problem from the battery+ to the starter period. Check connections at the fuse box. Try jumping straight from the battery to the starter.

you need to cut the clutch switch clip off and wire the 2 wires together.. then your ignition will be the only thing allowing power to the starter relay.. thats my best thought.. you may "non-destructively" try that to see if it works, because i am not 10,000% sure it will.

If your interior harness is from an automatic you will need to jump the wires which would normally run to the park switch. They are large(about 12ga. wire) white with a black tracer, and they normally run down the center console. I put a switch between the 2 wires and hid the switch. I use it as one of my anti-theft devices.

check the wire that connects into it then take a metal bar and hit the starter and tell someone to start it if not then you need a new one
