does 91 civic ef hatch lowering springs fit 99 ek sedan?
hey guys I just traded my 91 ef hatch for a 99 ek ex sedan with 90k miles on it and my hatch has 195k miles and plus 1200 cash on my part. Is this a good deal or what? my hatch are lowered on skunk 2 springs with jdmshit lip, window visors and clean *** si seats on blackies with crappy muffler while the 99 sedan is fully stock, lady driven, clean title, 5spd, full pwr.
My question is will the 91 hatch springs fit the 99 ek sedan? I had an extra spare set of springs and will install it tommorrow if it fits. I will post pics later.
thanks for responding fellas!

I dont believe they do. If your looking to get springs then i have a set off h&r lowering springs 2.5 drop all way around. PM if your intrested.
personally idk.the springs should fit over the shocks if thats what you mean, but the shocks wont fit in the forks. do like what ^ said. and pix would be awesome.
thank you jerr and romo for your responses. What I want to know is the ef springs that I have, lowers the cars 2.5 inch. How much lowered will it be if it was on an ek? Can someone post pics? I just want my car slammed for the looks. Don't really care how it rides because I might sell it later.

it will more than likely be the same amount of jam really close but if u want really low sell the springs and get coil overs i can fit a finger between my wheel and my fender ...love it low lol but the best way to check is to go a website like eibac or what ever a doo an application look up and it will give you soecs of how much it will drop it but than again every spring company will drop a car diff. heights
I'm going to say - don't do it. I've had an 89 hatch and put some S-Tech springs on it. The springs looked a LOT smaller than the lowering springs I put on a 96 EX coupe. The Teins brought the little EF down farther than I thought... and it's really really lightweight. Cramming your springs onto a heavier 6th gen would make it unsafe to drive. The springs may fit onto the shocks, but they won't work well for something they weren't made for. Sell them and buy the correct ones.
Right. I was getting worried no one was going to mention the fact that its a totally different car. Fit is only a small part. The cars are heavier, different suspension designs, different shocks. Springs for a light EF would be way to soft for an EK.
thank you very very much for all your input. I apppreciated!! The reason why i ask this question is because my friend had an ef springs on his 95 gsr hatch and the car was slightly tucked and ride wasn't too bouncy. I'am going to try it anyway hopefully saturday or sunday and I will definitely post some pics and let you guys know the rideability.
sorry for the low quallity pics..

On this sedan I used a 91 hatchback skunk2 lowering springs that lowers 2.5 in front and 2.25 rears. The ride quallity on this sedan is a little soft which is not bad and it's not bouncy at all. it feel like stock but lowered, and i cut the bumpstop in half. It leaves almost 1 finger gap to none all the way around. The springs fit in there perfectly without any adjustments or modification. I'am very satisfied from this outcome and the install took me about 3 hours no airgun or spring compressor.
