HEY EVERYONE/ANYONE IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME!! PLEASE I HAVE A PROBLEM WIHT MY 98 HONDA PRALUDE, I BOUGHT IT OFF SOMEONE AND NOW I AM HAVING TROUBLES,, THE ENGINE IS STOCK WITH ONLY AIR INTAKE, BUT I CHEKCED OUT THE ECU AND IT HAS BEEN CHIPPED! MY CAR IS STALLING OUT TIME TO TIME, THE RPM GAUGE IS LIKE A STEREO EQ!!!! AND CAR BOGS OUT, SOUNDS/SEEMS LIKE IT'S NOT GETTING ENOUGHT FUEL WHEN I PUSH ON THE GAS IT WANTS TO STALL OUT AND BOG OUT BUT WHEN I GO NICE N SLOW IT RUNS FINE ALTHOUGH THE RPM GAUGE IS STILL BOUNCING!! ANYONE HAVE ANYYYYYYYYYY SORT OF IDEA ON WHAT IT COULD BE.. I WAS THINKING TPS OR SOMETHING WITH THE FUELING MAYBE IF ANYONE HAS ANY ANSWERS OR IDEAS PLEASE EMAIL ME AT SECRETSOUL1980@HOTMAIL.COM

Yes I would definitely switch the chipped ECU for a known good stock P13 and see if the problem persists.

 

any CEL? your bouncing tach could be a grounding problem which may also be causing other issues that is causing your car to run poorly.

 

Check your fuel filter...

 

Is the check engine light on? Before I would spend any money I would get the computer checked out first. Maybe grease the paws of a honda tech at a dealer to see if the computer checks out.
