Integra Turn Signal LED Bulbs 1157
Drop in LED replacement bulbs will not give the same output as a regular filmament bulb. LEDs are point sources of light, like laser pointer. Think about how hard it is to illuminate a room with a laser pointer compared to a desk lamp using a regular incandescent bulb. Even wide angle LEDs have a viewing angle of at most about 140 degrees. Compare that to a regular automotive signal bulb that produces light 360 degrees around its filament. It is futile to try to get acceptable light output from LEDs in a housing made for a regular filament bulb.
Further, LEDs require precise current regulation or they will fail quickly. This is especially true when you get up to the 1 watt level with Luxeon / Cree / Seoul Semiconductor emitters.
The only LED that comes close to a bulb is the Osram Joule assembly that is used in the rears of the current Mercury Moutaineer. They are about $50 apiece and will pose a significant challenge in mounting in the housing as well as keeping under an acceptable temperature as they run hot and require heatsinks to cool
If you want more information about the Joule, take the time and read this article: http://www.mbz.org/articles/lighting/led/. Note that the engineers found that the success rate in using Joules in standard housing was under 50 percent. If you are cool with dropping $100 for most likely a worse turn signal try the Osram Joule.
Best option is to save your money and stick with the regular 1157 bulbs. Keep them amber too as white just blends in with your headlamp at a distance. Turn signals are to indicate to others that you are about to turn or change lanes. They aren't a fashion accessory so don't change their color.
