I have a 96 ex with the y8 motor. It has a set of wiseco pistons and some head work done to it. I have the regular intake and header... Compression ratio is up around 11:1 My question is wether or not i would notice a difference if i converted to obd-1 and ran a chipped ecu and obviously got it tuned. Does this setup deserve a tune or would i not notice much difference?

are you talking about the ecu conversion??? Yeah it would totally run good if you get it tuned in... I know a guy here that has a single slammer like that but he has 13.1:1 compression, but it still runs like a raped ape.

 

yes i know it will run decently im just wondering if its going to be a noticeable difference but yes i am just talking about swapping ecus and tuning it.

 

You will definately notice a difference in it.

 

yes of course i would get a chipped ecu with a custom y8 map on it
