Default new guy, need help

I just picked up a 91 dx hatch for $500. I'm getting ready to pull the motor, but i can't find the fuel pressure regulator so I can relieve the pressure. I'm working out of a haynes manual that i picked up, but the picture in the book isn't really helping. Can anyone tell me where it's at? This is the first engine I've ever pulled so I'm really looking forward to learning as much as I can.

I wouldnt be to worried about finding the FPR, look for the 17mm nut or bolt that is on top of your fuel filter. Just crack it loose and that will relieve the pressure.

Yeah. I tried to replace my fuel filter a while back. As your standing toward the front of your car, look back toward the firewall on the left. There's your fuel filter with 2 hoses connected to it. The pressure release is the one on the right. Just loosten that, and your good to go.

The official way to relieve the pressure is at the fuel filter, per http://www.autozone.com/shoppi...61950

Since you wrote you wanted to learn more, here are some photos and drawings of the fuel pressure regulator location:
