Do I have clutch problems?
Hey guys....I really hope you can help me out here!
My clutch pedal started to make a squeaking sound ever since last week. At that time it started, it doesn't happen all the time, but now it seems to happen almost every single time I press the pedal.
On top of that, I start to hear some kind of noise...sounds like "clak clak clak".
It happens in 1st, 2nd, and a bit in 3rd. What would happen is that I'm at a complete stop...gonna start to go...ease off clutch and give gas...then the sound appears...shift at 3500rpm to 2nd and I can hear the sound again as I ease off the clutch...and same thing for 3rd just not as loud.
The sound seems to be coming from the passenger side.
This is worrying me a lot...please help.

Clutch troubleshooting.....go 25 mph put car in 5th gear and floor it......if vehicle speed does not rise but engine speed does, you have a bad clutch.
The clack clack clack could be your CV joint. Does the sound increase speed with vehicle speed or stay consistant at any speed? Does the sound increase or show up more often when making a turn?

Could possibly be the throwout bearing. No noise when in gear and foot off of clutch?

Thanks Spade for the replies.
I guess I will have to go to Honda to get them to check it out. Hope they don't charge my left arm to fix anything.
There is no sound in neutral. Only whe I am in gear, easing off the clutch, then there is sound.
While we're on this clutch issue. How long does a factory clutch last under normal driving conditions? I have about 44000 kms on my clutch now... I rarely do any "spirited" driving.

The clacking when in Neutral with the clutch out sounds like the throwout bearing to me...

I had 60K hard miles on my factory clutch with no signs of slipping.
the squeaking happens alot to people...
id say its pretty normal... u might just have to re-grease your Throwout bearing.
the clak clak clak sounds like clutch chatter, which is normal for aftermarket clutches, but i can see it doing it on a stock clutch..
it doesnt affect driveability, so dont worry..
