i have a j1 short gear tranny with a bad 5th gear. i just bought it like that. 
im buying an ls tranny.
was wondering if anyone can crack em both open and swap out the 5th gear?
possibly?
the j1 tranny wont go into 5th gear. very rarely it does....
ill pay good.
