Default Coupe front end

Do you guys like the 96-98 front end or the 99 si? I'm asking because I'm thinking of updating the front end on my coupe. I can get all the front end parts for about $450, or the JDM grill for the 96-98 for $200. I was planning on going to dentology to remove my dings and dents and then getting a new coat of paint.

Everyone is going to have a different opinion as to which is better. Which do YOU think is better? Sometimes I see a car that looks good with the 96-98 bumper and vis-versa.

I like my 96-98 front end too. I'm still trying to find either an OEM civic type R grille for cheap or a perfect knock off that actually fits. Here's a pic of mine

both are OEM, does it really matter? I think they both look OK, but a 96-98 with OEM underbody spoilers seem a little more rare, around here anyway.

the lip that we both have is the same. It's the 96-98 optional chin spoiler.

I actually like the 96-98 front end with the type r lips the best. I think it looks better then the optional lip.

I have the 96-98 front end and love it ever since I got the CTR lip. I wouldn't mind a 99-00 front end though. Maybe I'll do the conversion later.

How did you get the bottom grill out? Did you cut it and with what? I guess to me both grills, top and bottom and what do you cover it with for stuff not to get in there?
