Airex inline pump Q

the fuel arrow on the pump is to point to the intake pump or fuel rail?

I've seen some auto parts that have the arrow pointing to the direction of the "Fuel Source". Some arrows say "FLOW" some will say "FUEL". How do you know the manufacturer didnt intend to point to the fuel source???

Airtex is made in Canada? There is French writing on the box.
