Default YS1 with S1 gears and LSD possible?

I've got a DA with a B18A1 and long geared non lsd YS1 (92-93 big spline).

I am about to buy a short geared non-lsd S1 from a jdm da6 xsi. It seems that there are no LSD fitments for the early cables, only for the late cables which share the B16A2 fitment.

Is it possible to use the gearing from the S1 in my YS1 casing and thus be able to install an LSD?

Or is it possible to rig a diff such as the Mfactory LSD into a 89-91 S1 cable?

Cheers.Mark.

I know you CAN use hydraulic trans internals from a xxDM B series in your SHORT GEARD YS1. The LSD I think is available. However, I'm not 100% sure. I'm not much use here after all lol....

Quaiffe b16 diff fits. They have the same part number for all b16 trannies, cable and hydro. Ive had one in my S1 trans for 3 years now, no problems.

I don't beleive the gearset from an s1 will fit in the ys1.
