Default Redesigned lost motion assembly's?

I ordered a set of LMA and when I got them appearently either I got the wrong part or Honda redesigned them. What it is; is just a spring. Theres no oil inlet below (duh, it's only a spring). No hydrulic pressure whatsoever. Drops right in. Im just not sure if its the right part. Help please.

Honda went to that design in 99.

My 98 has the spring type and its the original head untouched. That is, til I started modding things. I think the change was 1999 but I guess the newer 98's changed as well.

You can use those ones. You will have to get a set of washers to put under them because the spring type are a little shorter than the hydraulic ones. The spring are much cheaper too.

That's only if you use the Prelude lma's in Bseries heads.

So can you use them in the older head? I thought that I read on HT that you can use the newer LMAs in the old H22 head. I know you are right about the B series stuff. Please enlighten me because I need new ones for mine too. I have a JDM H22 1992 year model.

You can use the 99+ ones in all H22 heads.

So you do not need washers? I kinda wondered about that. Why would the heads be different?
