I've been lurking around for awhile on this site and decided to finally register today.
I've been n the market for quite sometime for some coilovers. I have looked into the Tein, Ksport, D2's and a few others.

I was doing a search on here looking for people response on said coilovers when I read about the AMR Engineering coilovers. I didn't finish reading the thread( read to about page 15) but am very interested in them.

Since I'm new for all of the people that use them how are they for dd and also lowered cars?

So, how are the different spring rates that some of you are riding on for the daily commute(if your still using it for dd)??

 

What year / engine / model are we talking about here.
Some year Accords have issues with upper control arm interference when lowered.
With the info I've requested, I'm quite sure you'll get all manner of suggestions.

1996 Accord Ex, f22b1, no engine mods or boost. I actually started working on my suspension 1st so I have to finish this part before I can move on.

 

I have never heard of this brand.

The suspension thread on Accordingly Done is quite thorough and goes over a **** ton of stuff. I'd look there too.

Just started reading the AMR thread in the suspension forum, looks like a pretty legit company, and the price seems to be right. They also do custom valving and spring rates (exclusively custom, they do not have standard setups for any given vehicle), which sounds very enticing.

Its really too bad I dont have the money to drop on suspension right now, cause I just might be convinced to head their way

I am sorry, but this user Putang has been banned on many many sites, as well as been harrasing my company for over a year. I'm not quite sure what he is doing on here to begin with since he was banned on honda-tech as well. Just to let you know, he was never a customer, and we actually kicked him off a groupbuy because of poor communication on his part. He has been ticked off ever since. Forget to mention that? Also did you forget to mention you have been banned from the saturn forums??? There is a reason for that people!!

If you have questions feel free to just e-mail us and get it from the horses mouth, I think that's how the saying goes. We offer a lifetime warranty on our product, and I do have accord coilovers in stock, other than the 6th gen. We have to machine the top mounts for the 6th gen accord to complete them, and that is what were working on right now.

If you actually saw the coilovers then you would know they are not AMR Engineering coilovers. They were a set of coilovers we were testing for another company in which hired us to help develop there line. Jayme agreed to be the test mule, and we even refunded his money without hesitation. As I said, he is local, and I know him. So get your facts straight. He didn't loose anything, other than the time we took when testing them. That's all.

We refunded his money, and that's all there is too it. He even stated on the phone that he was simply fueld by his own frustrations. Sometimes people overreact due to emotions, it's all good. Many thanks bro for considering us. I'd love to make you a set for your accord, and I love the accord. It's one of my favorite cars, and it was a car I grew up with. As I said, I guarentee our work, and I back up the ride quality of my product. Also I do have the product in stock, other than the 6th gen. I have all the parts for the 6th gen, just not the top mounts. We are going to make them as soon as we can. Right now we are not taking any custom orders, but are taking orders for parts that have been machined and are in stock which include the accord. We are moving into a new location here in Vancouver, WA. The place we are going to move fell through, but all is well because we found something better which requires me not to move, and I can keep my current staff. They're not Ksports or D2's but their own coilover product. I'm checking them out to see what's up

In an attempt to keep the Accord section clean I would greatly appreciate it if you ceased posting here.

 

i purchased a set nearly two years ago right before thanksgiving in 06 when they were the red color coilovers and a very attractive price. i rarely drive my ride due to other issues now, not because of the coilovers. haven't had a problem with them yet. the fact that they were warranted for life sold me as well as others. they are customized when you order. not of the shelf. Andy was very cool and informative when i talked to him. i never heard of the brand either til i came across the thread on here. i reserached like 3 other brands and choose this one. haven't been let down yet.

okay. so maybe you had a bad experience. many others haven't. i will admit that it took an extra 2 weeks for my product to arrive. andy was out of town and his staff didn't get my order out on time. but when andy return, i got my product a week later. lets put it in perspective here. amr is like ebay. a good seller that sold 1000 and had 3 negative responses. 97% of the people had a easy transaction. no company is going to be perfect. you have to realize that one takes a chance when buying on the internet, yet alone a car forum and not their actually website. as far as the flaming back and forth, how would you like it if you were nagged constantly. at some point, someone is going to break and get very angry. i'd start cussing and getting frank as well. just my thought.

 

u should check out function and form coilovers, they are pretty good and theyre sponsors here; my boy's ordered them and got them within a few days and on the g-ride. good feel, very nice and cool guys over there

 

1. I did not double charge the customer. The customer actually apologized to me for jumping the gun. So get your facts straight because all thats coming out of your *** is B.S. His merchant produced a double authorization that happesn sometimes, but he was charged once by us, and once only. By the way, here is the batch report which I supplied to the customer just for his peace of mind. As you can see, no double charges, and the charges that are for the same amount are from different cards!! Same amount, different customer. Don't mind the date on this. I know you well enough putang that you will try to say some B.S. about the date. Our CC machine at the time was unplugged, and the date was not updated. That should not matter anyway, but in putangs world, it sure as hell might.


2. That is fine, I may not deliver on time, but that does not make me a scam artist, or not legit in anyway. We make custom coilovers, and do custom fabrication period. I have a HUGE workload for both our coilovers as well as our custom fabricated parts. I don't twist my customers arms to order from us, nor do I force them to wait. They wait because they want my product, and they want someone that stands behind it. I offer a lifetime warranty for a reason.

3. I did charge them extra for shipping, and they gladly paid. I spent a lot of time developing the coilover system which I delivered, and it took not only a lot of time, but money as well. 2 years my ***, you sure love to overexaggerate everything, and you sure love to twist the truth. But whatever, I still make the coilovers, and they still all are happy customers.

4. They sure must hate me, when I just got 40+ orders to make the rear strut bar, and I sold over 60+front strut bars. They must hate me soo much that they banned YOU!! hahaha. AND YES YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM over 6 sites!! YOU WERE BANNED ONCE ALREADY FROM H-T!!

5. Sorry, but I have had a valid business license for over 10 years. Here are BOTH my business licenses!! Like you even know what is going on with where were moving or what is going on. Your too busy on the net spitting out garbage.

6. Ohh please, we do exactly what we say!! Who does our Powdercoating, STB Coatings in Portland, Oregon. Where do we source our Aluminum, IRC Aluminum in Portland, Oregon. I just did it the other day for some random company in Florida to track down a guy someone was looking for. And you can't ever please everyone so your comment of "everyone is happy" is out of context as his statement was "he has a list of happy customers"
