Default cat replacement/removal

i have a 96 lude and it has 150k miles on the engine and the cat hasnt been replaced, luckily my father never ran it hard at all so the engine feels like its brand new, but the cat i know has to be filthy and im sure its sucking up some power, i live in oklahoma city and there are no real emission standards so i know i could just take it off, but im not sure if it might be better to just replace it, i'm not sure if they can be "Cleaned" but i'm new to this and spend most of my days reading through everyones threads on preludes. sucks not knowing anyone near me that knows anything about this lol, let me know.

now you do! hit me up via email and/or phone and we can get together and go over your questions. I'd be more than happy to answer anything I can and show you places to go and places to avoid. For the record tho, I'm a 5th gen guy.

its only a couple bolts, just remove it and check how well you can see through it. being that it has that many miles though, you should probably just replace it.
