head bolts or head studs?

Default head bolts or head studs?

motor is an F22b1. i'm doing a headgasket change and it seems that i have headbolts (long bolts). however prior to knowing i bought arp head studs. can i still make the head studs work or do i have to go get head bolts?

The head studs will work. They replace the bolts

If you have the $ and they are available for your application, go with the head stud kit.
For several reasons.
a) They are manufactures from a better grade steel (the one's I'm familiar with anyway).
b) You eliminate any possibility of ever again damaging an engine block from stripped out bolt hole bores.
c) When you are tightening the head nuts / studs, you're tightening a steel nut and a steel stud; eliminating any chance of the aluminum gaulling.
they are a +Plus all around.
