my car ( 89 Ls) isnt gettin fuel to the engine, it has a new pump, filter, and main relay. the pump primes when i turn it to on, but no gas gets to the filter by the engine. I am desperate, please if u have any suggestions tell me
Did you replace the pump with a stock one? Maybe it's wired wrong?
Not 100% if you can do this on our cars or not but:
If you have access to the fuel pump still, wire it hot. Let it run for a bit and see if it gets any gas. This will let you know that the lines are not blocked and the pump is working.

Which filter did you change? I think there is one in the tank too. Pull the pump out an put it into a bucket of water. Hook it up and see if it works. Make sure you get all the water out before you put it back into the tank.

OK problem was figured out. just for you own knowledge if you have a MASTER brand fuel pump make sure the wires are on right. this brand of pump has a reverse circut and the pump will blow backto the tank instead of pulling to the engine if the wires are backwards.
again MASTER brand pump can go in reverse if wired wrong, thus making it impossible to get fuel to engine.
thank you for all th help, i wouldnt have found that out if i didnt try what you guys told me in the first place. many thanx. i have a way to go see my daughter again.
