Has anyone tried programming a 2003+ key fob (Honda or Acura) to operate with the remote entry system on a 98-02 Accord? There is a big interest in finding a switchblade, or built-in style of key/remote for this generation Accords, so I figured I'd start with the most obvious step first, since fabricating these from scratch is cost prohibitive.

 

this could be an interesting exercise, I'll see what I can scare up.

I would think Honda / Acura wouldn't change the keyless remote architecture just because of a model change (even if is generational)

That would be my hope. My remote's pretty much worn shiny and flat, and a key/fob hybrid would up my cool factor too.

 

I know someone out there has a 6th and 7th gen Accord with that fancy key!
