Help. I lost my key !!
I lost my keyless entry key to my 2007 Honda Accord. I just ordered one from Amazon. I cant afford to go to Honda. I have oncologist apts to take my daughter to in a few days. Do the youtube videos work to program it please? Im so upset 😭

There are two types of programming.
1. Programming the remote transmitter for the door locks and window opening controls.
A DIYer can perform this type of programming.
2. Programming the key transponder chip for the Immobilizer system to start the car. Although the car may initially start with a properly cut key blank; if the Immobilizer system in the PCM does not receive the correct transponder signal, the engine's fuel system will be disabled shortly afterward.
A DIYer generally cannot perform the Immobilizer programming. Generally, this has to be done at the dealer and some specialized locksmiths with the proper programming software.
Contact a locksmith.

When I purchased my 03 honda accord EX-L it only came with a grey vallet key to start the car and a fob to open doors and trunk which looked like it was the fob part from a broken key. My car was recently stolen with the key and obviously when it was found they did not leave the key so I had it towed to north burnaby honda thinking then could solve the problem. After paying 300 for towing costs and waiting 2 days for Honda to make a new key which they said they could they called me telling me that the car will not start with the new key and it's not responding to there compute so the diagnoses the car and now told me I need a new battery and I need a new immobilizer for my car for the keys to work which will cost me around 700$. Could it be they are doing something wrong and if I called a locksmith they would be able to figure it out maybe bypass the issue or could it just be because the battery is dead ?? Please please can someone help me I can't afford to pay for all that I've already missed 2 weeks of work so far just from not having the car due to all my work gear being in the trunk worth 600$ I wanted to wait to replace incase it was still in there. The car also was working fine with no problems when it was stolen. Can anyone help me try and fix it or set up key or any advice would be greatly appreciate please and thanks
