Default Help, How to undo bung/bolt with countershaft clip under it?

Iv just blowen another box up and now I have 3 wreaked boxs in my guarage so im thinking of pulling them all apart and using there parts to make 1 good box.

What I want to know is there some trick to getting that bung/bolt undone? Iv tried with one box already and it just stripped it out so now im going to have to weld a socket piece on to it.

Thank you for your help.

Huh?

If you're talking about the plug that goes here

Just put a 3/8(D) or 1/2(B/H) breaker bar in it and break it loose. lefty loosey.

If you're talking about the bolt that holds the CSB retaining plate in, bend back the circlip and put a 10mm socket on it and break it loose.

I wouldn't waste a socket.

Just have some barstock welded into a T shape. Bottom of T gets welded onto the plug. vice grips or some pipe on the top of the T to break it loose. Keep the welds on the plug as cold as possible and away from the edge.
