h22a transmission ecu question

Default h22a transmission ecu question

i was wondering if i need a p13 transmssion ecu when im using a p13 ecu for the engine? I have a obd1 h22a engine and auto transmition. when i got the engine and trany they gave me the wrong ecu and now im wondering if they gave me the wrong transmission ecu too. what do i need

there is no "transmission ecu". you must have a manual ecu from the OBD that your car pertains to. if you are in a 4th gen then you would need a p13 from a manual prelude.

If you have an automatic transmission, then there is a computer module for it. It's like a computer for the engine, but instead it's for the transmission

I would assume you would need the matching trans ecu to match your engine. The H23 trans ecu may not have the proper shift points.

i think your right, my second gear shifts way way to high before it hits third. thank you all for yur help. I love H.T. and its help!!!!!
