As a general rule, deep dish rims don't work on most Honda/Acura cars. Because our cars are front wheel drive, the configuration of the suspension is such that most need positive offset wheels, so that most of the inner space inside the wheel is needed to accommodate the wheel hubs, with less of it available for a deep dish.

As a general rule, this is absolutely correct.
However, there are wheels specifically designed to "fake" a huge lip while still allowing the correct offset to be used.
The Rota PDC (sometimes called a Rota Cup) is an example. This is on a Scion, but they use similar offsets as we do.

Custom?
Sounds like you're looking for a 3 piece wheel, where you can specify both the inner and outer rim size to get the exact width and offset you want.

Keep in mind, that a 3 piece wheel won't have spokes curved much (certainly nothing even close to what those Rotas I posted have), and won't have much of a lip in an offset that will fit correctly on a FWD Honda.

If you are referring to the SSR Reverse Mesh, then you're a decade late. They're long since discontinued. You might be able to find some used.
