Default is the t3gt40 and a t3t61 the same thing......loking for a cheaper 35r alternative

im looking for cheaper alternatives to something in the 3040 and 35r range or maybe a tad smaller than a 35r but no smaller than a 3076........it has to flow at least enough for 500 whp

anyone know what holset would fit this criteria.........i know there is the holset thread but damn i don't have time to read 100+ pages right now

like in the title im considering a t3gt40 and a t3t61

i had thought about the BW but they are as high or higher than the gt series

anyone know where to buy new holsets?

dude WTF how many different turbos are you going to ask about in one week ? for real search read compressor maps and learn how to use them effectively. from what i understand Mac has helped you alot.

a BW S256 will hit your needs of 500whp depending on your motor and mods. what motor is this turbo going on ? also a S256 is about $900-$1000 flat

going on a 20V 1.8 VW

he has helped me alot but at that time i was going to be using a a stock head and now im coming into some money and my head will be a lot different

let me put it into honda terms so maybe it makes more sense
imagine you hav an ls you plan to build and your checking around deciding on a turbo based on an ls, then you run accross some money and have a fully built vtec head with all the goodies.........now when you do that don't you think your options on what turbo your going to use is going to change

thats really the best way i can explain it before with the stock head i was thinking 350whp max and now im thinking 550 whp max

where is the cheapest to buy a BW 256
do you know the answer of if a t3gt40 is the same as the t3t61

1k is about the max i want to pay for a turbo

anyone know anything about the precision 6162? i've heard its like a non bb gt35r

a SC61 and holset HX35 are 1st cousins BUT the holset in my opinion is way more upgradable and has many options.

a HX35 has so many options its hard to give you a ball park because it comes with about 5 different turbine housings. just get what i told you and you will be happy hands down. 12cm^2 turbine is what you need and if you feel you want more power later get a 14cm^2 or 16cm^2 turbine.
