Thats what i had planned on, just wondering how to check/what the code is.

yeah go to this site and if you buy this all you have to do is hook it up to your diagnostics link connectors http://www.scantool.net/index.php it can plug into a laptop and then you should be able to look up what the check engine light is telling you and you can shut it off as well.
Well i called the dealer, went to take it up, light went off.
Called them and they said if it comes on again bring it up.
Now my weird problems started when i got the car, it always was reading the fuel cap thing, it would on and off all the time. I always made sure the cap was tight, 3 clicks always.
Well i looked up why the light would come on, and it said something with emissions.
I'm not worried now since if something is fuc$ed, they can fix it.
Its just something faulty, i can tell.

They should have told you to come, even though the light is off the History code is still there. And there should have been the "Check Fuel Cap" message in the MID if that were the case. Honda has been having a LOT of Oxygen sensor issues lately. The most current case is a 2009 Pilot with 10 miles on it.

Thanks
I know i should have had taken it in but my honda dealership sucks, they said if it happens again bring it up.
i can't even buy honda oil, timing belts nothing except a oil filter at my dealership.
Thats why i was trying to find out if i could figure this out before i put the car in there hands.
As for why i think something may be faulty, i can just tell this thing is funky, just the way the dash lights come on and such.
Before this car i had a 05 accord, and it had a faulty air condition fan switch, sometimes it worked, other times it didn't.
thanks for your reply's guys. i'll try to keep this updated
