I dont know much about this turbo.Im looking at replacing the turbo on my weekend car. Setup is Stock LS block, ported gsr head turbonetics mani, 3inch DP. Looking at making around the 400-450 range on race gas. what does everyone think of this turbo....again this is not a daily it will be used for track and weekend racing. Or is there another turbo in the range of $600 that would be better.

my friend ran high 10s at 22psi on race gas...

 

maybe look at the 62-1 or the BW series

For your budget, there really isn't anything better that comes to mind. The 60-1 will make 400-450whp; however, a 57 trim is capable of the same numbers. The 60-1 can actually make more than 450whp depending on which turbine wheel you get...

 

i run a bb 62-1 turbonetics turbo on my 84x89 setup and i start seeing boost at 4300rpm.

 

im running the 60-1 70 trim though. Couldnt ask for a better turbo good ****!!!!

 

i run a garrett t3/t61 with p trim wheel.. .82 exhaust housing on my b16 and i love it..

 

T3 60-1 S Cover all the way. 63 exhaust on boosted h22

Not really.. Simply just from my experience with the ones I've made in terms of the ineffective need for the S cover on such a smaller application from its original design.
