symptoms of a blown head gasket?
i have an LS w/ VTEC. i bent a couple valves so i pulled the head and replaced them without getting the head X rayed. i used a .5mm buddy club head gasket for a b16/b18. when i got it all back together and started up it ran rough and was coolent was poring out of the exaust and the hoses collapsed. any ideas? wrong gasket? cracked head? AHH!!
Well, are you even using the head dowels, My friend put a gsr head gasket on his ls/vtec and all it did was leak oil on the #4 cylinder side of the head on the front, The Ls gasket is smaller there so it won't leak. We didn't have problems like yours on his. Did you put it on upside down? Are you blowing bubbles into the overflow tank when it is warm?

It was just a question. How was I to know if he did or didn't use them. Yes you would be a retard to not use them, the head gasket could move all around, and there are some really rigged things out there.
