Default I need help with my Swap !!

I have a 1990 civic hatchback with a 4 sp manual transmission .. But a few days ago I got a d16y8 block & head with an edelbrock performer x intake manifold an 4 to 1 dc headers wat parts do I still need ??? Can I use any parts from my old motor can anyone please help me ???

you will need an obd1 p28 ecu. an obd0 to obd1 jumper harness. a 4 wire oxygen sensor(denso part # 234-4099). maybe more depending on what you have...
did the engine come complete? does it have a distributor? clutch?

I came wit clutch no distributor and the alternator but it looks like I might need a new 1

mine as well get a 92-95 civic ex distributor then also. an alternator if u need one other wise i think you can get started

Nice !! im gonna try to get sum pics so you can see … is there any parts that I can use from the old motor ???

Your alternator will fit on the new engine. You need to convert your car to MPFI also. Check the FAQ at the top of this forum to see how it's done

You will need an EX throttle body, you will need injectors/fuel rail/etc, you will need a chipped P28 with a Y8 timing map, you will need an OBD2 Dseries distributor, you will probably want a different transmission.

You will then need to convert the car into MPFI, wire the OBD2 distributor in, and tune the car correctly. A stock P28 will not run a Y8 well at all, trust me I just got over that whole debacle. Ugh.

The Z6 will be much easier to swap in.
