Default TPS QUESTION

I got a 96 civic ex with a d16y8 in it, and i was just messin around the other day with a scanner and seen that my tps at idle was at 11% and at WOT it was at 89%. i was just wondering if this is normal for a honda. i didnt know if it went to 100% when the vtec kicks in or what. i just know on all the other cars i looked at, they were all at 0% at idle and 100% at WOT. and it was at 89% when i had someone hold the throttle down at the butterfly with the engine off but the key on. thanks for the help.

tps only measures how open the throttle is, vtec shouldn't have anything to do with it

The correct procedure should be voltage based though, I don't know what test you are referring to that displays percentages

i used a scanner that reads trouble codes and shows you like rpms, engine temp, o2 sensor readings, etc. there is one for tps and it says that at idle it is open 11% and at wot 89%. i have used two different scanners and they say the same. But i will try the voltage route thanks.
