Default So who makes a spacer that will slant a turbo?

OK, I'm having the normal B16-T problem. Got my manifold/turbo off a LS and try it on the B16. Thats a no go. My friend told me about some sort of spacer type deal (thats kind of like a elbow on a wastegate) that you can put between the manifold and turbo and it will slant the turbo the way you want. If I can find it in time before I sell my **** and just get a inline pro manifold and a SC61, then I'll get it and try to get my set-up to work.

Thanks.

Just get a machine shop to custom make you a flange that sits between your turbo and manifold. Where does exactly the turbo touch on your engine? Pictures would help !!!

We tested his manifold/turbo on my already grinded B16a.

Trojan. I still think you should change manifolds but you can order a header flange off ebay. Use longer and STRONGER bolts to hold the turbo up.

then he has the wrong turbo, sounds like its a Garrett T3/t4 or similar copy, if that's the case he has to grind A LOT and i would not recommend it.

Um, yeah. Thats why I made this topic? Its 100% a Precision turbo. I'm not trying to grind ALOT. I want to get a spacer thing and move the turbo outside and grind a little.

what about a pandusky sports flange...they make one for a t3 style flange to rotate a turbo on the cast spa topmounts...it should work the same way for yours

Any further info on where I may be able to find this? I'm really looking for a spacer type deal because this will be going on a log manifold.

Nope, It's a T3/T04e Precision .57 trim .63 A/R.

If I upgrade and can't figure out how to get this set-up to work, I'll be upgrading to a SC61 and a inline pro manifold.

thats your problem. those cast mani's only work with 5 bolt housings. you would need a large spacer on the head flange to clear with a 4 bolt.

Ok not trying to thread jack, but I ran into the same problem yesterday. So are you saying you can just get a exhaust flange, and use it as a spacer? I am running the InlinePRO T3 SS, and I have a T3/T4 .60

Damn really? Yeah thats what I'm thinking. Just get a flange and then shave down so it slopes it out some but make sure it's smooth. Thats my guess.

you can use a headflange to space it away from the head, youll need longer studs to do so. the problem with getting a "slanted" flange is that there isnt a way to get the threads straight to bolt it up.
