So the k&n website sites a seven hp gain with the typhoon cai and my stock intake tubing has a rip in it and I want to get a new one. Anyone running this intake have some opinions? The V2 seems to be the favorite so far. I was pretty sure there was a thread on cai's but searched and couldnt find it. Sorry. Any input would be great.

 

i run it. but my car isnt a "race car"., but it adds a little tweak and sounds sick.

you should get it, as far as i know that must be a relativly new intake beacuse when i bought my v2 a year or 2 ago k&n didn't make intakes for our cars yet. You should try it and let us know how it is. K&N makes really good filters and intakes so i wouldn't worry about quality.

 

yeah, from the looks of it it scavenges air from in front of the radiator. So far ive removed the bottom end of my air box and removed the fog light insert. it looks like it actually dives down in that free space right there where the stock airbox sits in the bay skirt, which would be ideal. but the online instalation guide is lacking in pictures. I know this is also a litle of tpic but is there a radiator shroud that is made for the fifth gens???
