Default B18C1 Question.......

Just recently did a GSR swap never done anything with a GSR before......Question does anyone know a safe PSI to run a T3/T4 61trim turbo on a stock GSR swap? Engine has perfect compression, has also been pulled apart to make sure no extra wear and tear...........

im doing a gsr swap on my ek hatch, then boostin it with the same turbo... ive asked alotta people and they said 12psi max for the track only. and on the streets run 8psi, or maybe 10 with a perfect motor. my vote is 8psi.

wow you guys need to search and search some more PSI DOES NOT MATTER(not nearly as much as the tune or whp) those are the questions you need to ask. and they are good for 300whp+

tuning is key if you have an amazing tune you will make more power if your tune is **** you will make less power and possibly blow your engine. you need a good tuner/tune and you will be fine.

yes the b-series manifolds are compatible.

+1 on the PSI not mattering when comparing different turbos

BUT he said it was a t3/t4 61 trim so u can (kinda) guage how much CFM it will push at a certain PSI... need more turbo specs than that though

I know it's mainly about the tune..... but as Salsa said you can usually guage the CFM at certain PSI when knowing about the turbo......... I am just looking to find out if 9PSI with a 61 trim T3/T4 turbo will be safe with the stock 10.0:1 comp.
