Having an issue after I encountered some wheel hop
Driving the car while it was raining I had got some wheel hop during acceleration, later as I was slowing down for a stop sign I felt a like a knocking back n forth feeling from under the car. It did again later that night as I was driving along at a steady pace. It's very random and I can't get it to repeat the sound at will.
The car still works and drives fine, nothing feels lose, but when it does happen it I can feel it at my feet and and on the arm rest. Could the wheel hop have destroyed a motor or tranny mount?
It's a 2007 Si coupe with 36,000km
I drove the car to work this morning and it didn't do it all. But it felt so bad when it did it last night there has got to be a problem somewhere. Like bad enough that you would think it would be an obvious problem but I don't understand how it wouldn't do it all the time, or more frequent.
I'll drive it this weekend to see how it goes
I want to bring it in to the dealer but it's not doing it all the time and I can't get it to do it when I want it too. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hard to say what it could be. Usually motor/tranny mounts breaking are a result of REPEATED instances of wheel hop/hard acceleration....unless yours was a very violent one....which I don't understand how it could be since nobody should be accelerating that hard in rainy weather. Right?
If the problem starts up again take it to the dealer right away so they can duplicate it themselves.
